Programme “Donation of eggs (oocytes)” is designated for women, whose eggs who are lacking or have a high risk of giving life to children with hereditary (genetic) pathologies, or with continuous failed attempts of methods of artificial fertilization. At present day this programme gives a possibility for a married couple with serious pathologies of eggs or sperm to pass the way of pregnancy and labor.

The desired result is achieved by means of in vitro fertilization of donor’s eggs. In this case eggs are received from a woman-donor, then eggs are fertilized with spermatozoids of husband of infertile patient or of sperm-donor, and then an embryo is transferred to uterus of infertile woman-recipient.

Intended parents receive all necessary information about donor’s appearance: height, weight, hair color, eye color, nationality, education, children, blood type, Rh.

Donation of sperm is a programme that gives a chance to have children in families where husband is sterile or when woman is single. In Ukraine there is sperm bank, where selected spermatozoids are cryogenically preserved.

When applying this programme, the main difference from the standard IVF, that sperm which is used for fertilization is unfrozen.
