Kim Kardashian pregnant again thanks to IVF treatment
Kim Kardashian is pregnant again with Kanye's second child and this time, it's a boy. Her expensive IVF treatment has finally paid off after a year of struggling to conceive.
An insider allegedly told OK! Magazine, "She's pregnant. I've heard that she's passed the 12-week point, but that she and Kanye aren't going to confirm it for at least a few more weeks."
In line with the news, this means that their daughter, North, is possibly going to be a big sister. Kanye, meanwhile, is ecstatic about the news. "To say that he's happy that she's carrying a boy is an understatement," the report added. "One of each is perfect for them."
According to International Business Times, Kim K reportedly spent $230,000 on in-vitro fertilization and is very concerned with her pregnancy. "She's being crazy protective, she's Googling everything. She doesn't want to risk doing anything that could damage the pregnancy", the informant said.
Kim K has been open about her struggles to get pregnant. According to Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority, for the reality TV star to get pregnant at 34 through IVF only has a chance of 32.2 percent because as a woman ages, her capability to conceive slims down. IVF treatment also carries risks such as miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome (OHSS) and multiple births.
According to Celebrity Laundry, after Kim will has baby No. 2, she will undergo surgery to completely remove her uterus. Kim allegedly carried a high-risk pregnancy because when she was pregnant with North as a visit to her doctor found that placenta grew in her uterus.
"Chances are, having gone through so much to conceive this baby, it will be their last. They aren't really talking about what's next. All they can do right now is make sure that this baby is being taken care of," an insider told HollywoodLife.com.
