Kim Kardashian conceived baby boy through IVF
While the Kardashian-Jenner clan may have lost its patriarch in Bruce Jenner, a new report reveals Kimye took extra steps to ensure their next child was a boy.
Kim Kardashian went through an in vitro fertilization gender-selection process this spring to predetermine the sex of her second child, according to The New York Daily News.
“She only had male embryos implanted,” a source told Us Weekly. IVF, which can cause an upwards of $17,000, is the process of fertilization by manually combining an egg and sperm in a laboratory dish, and then transferring the embryo to the uterus.
“Kanye loves (daughter) Nori more than anything, but to make his world complete, he wanted a little boy, an heir,” the source continued.
For Kim giving birth to a healthy baby is what matters most to her, but being able to choose the sex is the “cherry on top!”
On Father’s Day the reality TV star announced on her Instagram page that the couple is expecting a baby boy. “You’re such a good daddy to North & you will be the best daddy to our new son too!” Kim captioned a photo of West holding their toddler.
It is expected that Kardashian-West’s latest accessory will be born in December.
