IRTSA succesfully conducted international travelling seminar in London

October 22, 2010, London International Company IRTSA in cooperation with Clinic of Reproductive Medicine ‘Neomed’ (Kyiv) and Legal Company ‘Medical Law Center’ supported by Panamedical Consulting Ltd. (London) and information partner popular European magazine Fertility Road conducted another travelling seminar ‘Infertility treatment and reproductive technologies in Ukraine'. Seminar programme included today’s most important medical, organizational and legal issues on ART programmes in Ukraine, in particular:

up-to-date standards of assisted reproductive technologies programme support (shortly ART) for different categories of clients (married couples ,aged married couples, single parents etc.);
Ukrainian experience in reproductive programme carrying out for single parents, aged couples and same-sex couples;
medical aspects of ART (most effective IVF protocols, donation etc.);
peculiarities of legal regulation of ART in Ukraine and package of the main legal services in this area;
legalization and exit of citizens of Great Britain and other European Union countries born through ART programmes in Ukraine.

Dmytro Chudakov, CIS Countries Manager of PANAMEDICAL CONSULTING LTD made a report on development of fertile tourism in Ukraine. He told about the reasons why citizens of the major part of European countries strive to conduct this procedure in Ukraine. Ukrainian clinics offer the most competitive prices in Europe for all up-to-date methods of assisted reproductive technologies from IVF to surrogacy.

Prof. Nataliia Dankovych, CEO of one of the top Ukrainian reproductive clinics “Neomed”, made a report about achievements of Ukrainian reproductive medicine. Seminar participants received comprehensive information about medical specific features of the main reproductive programmes and also about the number of visits to Ukraine an infertile couple should accomplish in different treatment programmes.

Lyudmyla Smahina, CEO of IRTSA (International Reproductive Technologies Support Agency), highlighted organizational issues of assisted reproductive technologies in Ukraine. Special interest of participants was paid to the scheme of carrying out of reproductive programme, peculiarities of surrogate mothers’ supervision, requirements to donors and surrogate mothers.

Adv. Sergii Antonov, leading expert in the field of legal support of ART programmes in CIS countries, CEO of Medical Law Center, made report on the peculiarities of contractual relations between the participants of reproductive programmes, legal aspects of document drawing up for a child and also about aspects of legal protection of Potential parents, surrogate mothers and donors in Ukraine and Great Britain.

In the final part of the seminar the editors of Fertility Road Jeff Crockett and Giorgio Severy took a word. They told about the problems of carrying out IVF in Great Britain for aged couples and single parents and also about the interest of EU citizens in fertile tourism in Ukraine.

In seminar took part also gynaecologists and reproductive experts from Great Britain and Ireland who became interested in their colleagues experience in carrying out IVF with oocyte donation and also with usage of cryopreserved embryos.
