Moscow CSAR Will Now Register Surrogate Children of Single Parents
Moscow Administration of Civil Status Acts Registration has adopted internal regulations permitting to register children born through surrogacy in couples who are not legally married, as well as single mothers.
Thus, the employees of the Moscow registrar offices have the opportunity to register these children as any other children, without the appropriate court decision.
Birth certificate is essential when registering child’s residence, applying for a medical policy, registering with a kindergarten or children's clinic, and more. Now obtaining child birth certificate will not endure for months. Parents can deal with the long-awaited parental chores instead of wasting time in courts.
We hope that registrar authorities in other regions will follow the officials in Moscow and also develop appropriate documents, which greatly simplify the lives of many happy parents, but also reduce the work load on courts and registrar officers.
