Shahrukh and Gauri Khan Are Expecting a Son through Surrogacy
Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Khan are expecting a baby! The Bollywood power couple will be welcoming a baby boy via a surrogate, though the prospective parents have yet to make a statement about their exciting news.
It was Gauri’s decision to have a child through surrogacy, and the Khans apparently consulted the same doctor that Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao went to when their baby Azad was born via surrogate. The Khans currently have two teenage kids, Aryan, 15, and Suhana, 13, and they look forward to their new arrival.
Shahrukh Khan is one of Bollywood’s biggest stars. His fan following numbers in the billions and it’s estimated that one-third of the world’s population knows his name. He is currently wrapping up shooting for “Chennai Express,” a romantic comedy by Rohit Shetty.
Khan is more than just a movie star, however, as he works hard on issues of social justice and equality. His humanitarian efforts include opening a children’s ward at a Mumbai hospital, serving on the board of India’s Make-A-Wish Foundation, adopting five villages and providing them with solar power through the Light a Billion Lives program, and countless other projects.
