Birth rate growth in Moscow
Moscow maternity and antenatal clinics for many years have been considered among the best in the country. So it is not accidental that not only residents of other regions - even people from other countries go to Moscow to give birth. And thanks to the major changes that have occurred over the last couple of years around the city health care, maternal and infant mortality in the city is reduced, and the birth rate is increasing.
By the end of 2012 on the protection of the health of women and children, the city spent more than $ 30 billion - one-third of all the money allocated for the modernization of the capital health.
Pleasant record - in the past, 2012 in maternity hospitals of the Department of Health in Moscow were born 129,770 children (51% - of boys and 49% of girls). That's almost 8,000 more babies than in the previous year, 2011. Speaking in general, this has not happened in Moscow for many years. In 2005 in Moscow only 90,737 children were born.
