Timing of embryo transfer and pregnancy
08.08.2013
American scientists have found that the more time is needed for the implantation of the embryo, the longer will last pregnancy.
Experts from the National Institute of Science observed 125 pregnancies from the moment of ovulation and implantation of the embryo in the uterus until delivery.
It has been found that besides time of embryo transfer, age of women affects the length of gestation: in adulthood each year of life adds an additional day of pregnancy.
Also, women who had great weight during their own birth, have one additional day of pregnancy for every 100 grams of weight in excess of the norm.
