Frozen sperm is ok for IVF
09.08.2013
Sperm obtained by testicular biopsy and undergone freezing is no less effective for IVF than sperm that has not passed cryopreservation .
This was reported by experts from the medical school at Washington University in St. Louis.
It is easy to use frozen sperm for ICSI because timing of the biopsy is not tied to the terms of follicle puncture. With a conventional semen biopsy it should be carried out on the same day as follicle puncture.
And in this case, you can first do biopsy with a man, get and freeze the sperm for fertilization, and then use it at your convenience.
