The complexity of choosing between a career and having children
The patient Irina V. Ivanina tells about the complexity of choosing between a career and having children, that everything must be on time.
At 30, I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure, meaning I should have a child now or never. Two months after the news I was in the hospital for freezing eggs. As the years passed, I reached the heights of career. Finally met the man of my dreams, and we had a luxury wedding. Of course, as my gynecologist predicted I could not manage to get pregnant the usual way. A year after the wedding, we came to the clinic for the second phase of the program of delayed motherhood. I had in vitro fertilization using previously frozen eggs.
And now I am the happiest woman on earth. And I am 100% sure that my children will be born healthy: after I had the eggs frozen when they were still "very young."
