Infertility rate in Ukraine

The decline in the birth rate in Ukraine becomes threatening. Many married couples postpone having children "for later." However, almost one in five married couple suffer from some forms of infertility.

One of the reasons for this situation doctors believe to be too early sexual activity among Ukrainian youth. Having sexual intercourse at the age of 15-19 years in the future might have an extremely negative impact on women's reproductive health.

Also, experts say that there is practically no information work among the population on these issues. At the same time not every family can not afford treatment of infertility using assisted reproductive technologies.
