The use of raspberries
29.08.2013
Regular consumption of raspberries can improve fertility in men of older age groups.
This was stated by U.S. researchers from the National Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory. Scientists explain this effect with the fact that raspberries contain high amounts of vitamin C and magnesium. These compounds affect the balance of testosterone and protect the sperm from oxidative stress.
The researchers also noted that consumption of raspberries contributes to maintaining a healthy weight, which in turn affects the balance of sex hormones and increase the likelihood of conception. Berry contains few calories and is high in fiber and folate - the connections required in the early stages of embryo development.
