Sleeping mode influences IVF success rate
18.10.2013
The efficiency of in vitro fertilization is influenced by a number of factors . These include correct sleep and wakefulness of women.
Researchers from Inje University (Korea) were viewing 656 women preparing for IVF protocol. It was found that the chances of a successful conception increase if woman sleeps 7-8 hours.
Women who sleep less than 7 hours a day, have 15 % less likely to get pregnant than those who sleep 7-8 hours. And for those who like to sleep late, at least 9-10 hours, the probability of pregnancy is reduced by 25 %.
The researchers point out that such a mechanism is likely to work for women trying to conceive naturally too.
