Infertility rate in Kazakhstan
Approximately 18% of women of reproductive age in Kazakhstan have a diagnosis of "infertility."
The main causes of infertility in women is the inflammation of the reproductive organs, hormonal disorders, and cancer. In addition, the cause of severe cases of infertility is often too late referral of women to medical specialists .
"If a woman lives with her husband for a year having regular sexual life, they are of reproductive age, and she does not become pregnant, it is considered infertility. Our women postpone referral to doctor for three, four, ten years, and only then seek help", - said at a press conference Talgat Kudaibergenov, director of the Research Center of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology in Almaty.
