Israel expands the boundaries for surrogacy
11.12.2013
The law regulating surrogacy procedure in Israel will be substantially amended.
This was stated by Minister of Health Yael Herman at a press conference held on December 11 in Tel Aviv.
Pursuant to the current legislation surrogacy service is available only to married heterosexual couples. In this case the surrogate mother can only be a single woman, and if necessary to use donor eggs, they can be taken only from residents of Israel.
Now, however, the boundaries of the law will be greatly enhanced.
