Church of Moldova does not approve of surrogacy

In a statement, drawn up in the first meeting this year of the Synod of the Orthodox Church of Moldova  Republic citizens should refrain from using surrogacy.

According to the Archdiocese of Moldova, the method of birth of children is primarily a profitable business "for donor gametes and surrogate mothers." Thus mystery of conception and birth of a new life recedes into the background.
