In the near future in Sweden is expected to be adopted the law, according to which all unmarried women-residents of Sweden, who experience difficulty conceiving in a natural way, will be able to receive free treatment in clinics of reproductive medicine.

In May, the Swedish government carried out a special survey with the idea of providing single women, who need in vitro fertilization, such a medical service from local budgets was supported by very many people in the country.

Recently had been made another important step in this direction: the idea was also supported by Association of Swedish municipalities and county councils in Sweden (SKL). In this Scandinavian country medicine by more than 90% is a state matter - the share of private clinics is very low. Coordination and organization of the public hospitals in regions is provided by local governments.

Therefore, the support of the organization that brings together representatives of the Swedish governments, in this case, is very important.

At present, the procedure of in vitro fertilization from the budget is available in Sweden only for women who are legally married or in long-term relationships that are not registered officially.

In private clinics, the cost of one course of IVF is an average of 30 000 SEK (4150 USD).

Experts predict that after the adoption of this law annual services of the state of reproductive medicine clinics can take advantage of from 1 500 to 2 000 were single Swedish women.

Local budgets will receive compensation from the budget of the entire state, depending on the number of inhabitants of the country, who have had recourse to the help of IVF clinics in a given region.
