Facebook and Apple will pay for egg freezing their female employees

Facebook company decided to participate in the program of problem solving at work and at home for large companies in which the company provides to its female employees egg freezing. This will allow female employees to avoid the fear that can be "too late" with the birth of the child. In 2015, this project will be joined by Apple.

It is known that as the body grows older supply of eggs is exhausted, and decreases the chance of pregnancy. However, if freeze them in time, women will be able to make a career in the beginning, and after that have a child - or use the services of a surrogate mother.

However, the cost of such a procedure is quite high: about 10 thousand dollars for a single stage, while doctors recommend that it be held in two stages. Apple and Facebook have decided to assume these costs. These expenses will be included in the bonus package for employees of companies.

According to The Wall Street Journal, in the above-mentioned companies share of female staff on average is one-third of the total number of employees. In total, the share of the fairer sex in the labor market of the United States, according to the American Department of Labor - 47%.
