Coffee is capable to decrease the possibility of successful conception

14.11.2014

It has long been tense debate about the benefits and harms of coffee consumption and impact of this drink on human health.

Special study was conducted by researchers from Massachusetts. It involved 105 men whose partners were trying to conceive children through IVF method. The average age of participants in the experiment was 37 years old.

However, the results of semen analysis were unable to establish links between the quality of the ejaculate and the level of consumption of caffeine or alcohol.

At the same time it was determined that attempt to conceive a child has been successful for 52% of men who do not overuse caffeine (remember, one cup of coffee contains about 140 mg of caffeine). And for those who consume a lot of coffee, successful conception occurred in 19% of cases.
