Pregnant women should refuse from or limit consumption of certain foods and beverages

Some food and beverages are prohibited for pregnant women. Where to draw the line - is not always clear, although the statistics may help.

Completely eliminating caffeine is not necessary, but try not to consume more than 200 mg a day, for example, a chocolate bar and a cup of coffee out of coffee machine. But coffee is just one item on a long list.  Among others is, for example, alcohol. It can cause birth defects, such as deformation of the face, learning difficulties and problems with emotional development. Can slow a child's growth - even after birth increases the risk of miscarriage or stillbirth. If you do drink alcohol, try to minimize the risk and do not drink more than a small glass of wine 1-2 times a week.
