Regular consumption of cinnamon greatly increases the likelihood of successful conception
Researchers at the Medical Center at Columbia University (New York) conducted the following experiment: for six months the patient suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome, received daily in addition to the normal diet 1500 mg of cinnamon. Five women in the control group received placebo.
After six months, women who regularly consumed cinnamon, had normal menstrual cycle. Over the entire period all the women had 4 ovulations. Two participants of the experiment became pregnant.
In the control group, women taking placebo, had only 2 ovulations and no conception.
As the head of the experiment Professor Avner Gershlag pointed out, "one of the advantages of this method in treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome is the lack of side effects and very low cost of treatment."
